Merci beaucoup! ~ This Spring Break, five brave RHS students embarked on a life-changing tour of Paris, France and London, England.  We left on April 1st and returned April 8th.  The students were seniors, Elyse Johnson and Aaron Arce and Freshmen, Chelsea Nuyen, Maria Alvarenga and Chris Arce.
They made Rubidoux proud!   We covered a lot of territory in a short amount of time: going up to the top of the Eiffel Tower, a boat ride down the Seine river, visits to the Louvre museum,Versaille palace, home of the great kings of France and formally the capital of France.
Easter Sunday we attended service in Latin at the Notre Dame Cathedral. We also took the Eurostar across the English Channel, took pictures with  Buckingham palace guards, ate fish and chips and stayed up till the wee hours of the night playing cards and making new friends.  On the last night in London we saw the play Wicked.
For the piece de resistance, we were able to connect with a former Rubidoux graduate, Kathleen Dameron, an expatriate for 30 years. We videotaped our conversation; Elyse Johnson has been a part of the video production class and will use what she has learned to put together a video presentation for our video announcements.
What an inspiration!
